Koroneiki Single Variety - Kalamata

The Koroneiki olive is a small but mighty fruit. Despite the fruit's tiny size, it produces oil of exceptional quality - vibrant green in colour, high in antioxidants (polyphenols) and packed with bold flavours.

Our Koroneiki olive oil is intensely aromatic and fresh, with notes of green grass, artichoke and wild herbs, balanced by a distinctive peppery finish and a gentle bitterness that signal its richness in antioxidants.

Koroneiki olive trees have evolved to survive in harsh Mediterranean environments where water is scarce, soils are poor, and summers are long, hot and dry. This means that the trees grow slowly, the fruits develop with less water and more environmental stress, which naturally concentrates flavour, aromas, and polyphenols in the fruit juice. The result: an extra virgin olive oil that is pure, highly nutritional, and expressive of the fruit and its origin.

Koroneiki olive oil is distinguished for its health and nutritional benefits. Studies show that the polyphenols in EVOO have anti-inflammatory properties and therapeutic effects against chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.

We harvest early to maximise the polyphenol count and take great care to ensure the purity of the natural fruit is preserved.

The olive mill we collaborate with is organic certified and uses state of the art technology. The purity of our oil can be understood from the K-factors and DK oxidation levels, which are tested to check for contaminations, adulterations or modifications.
